PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The long-term mission of this project was to protect, maintain, and enhance the aquatic environment and related ecosystems in the areas of West Bay, North Bay, and Cotuit Bay in addition to rebuilding Dead Neck Island on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Taking the material from the Cotuit Bay channels to repair the breach improved the flushing action in Cotuit Bay as well as other bays and coves that feed into Cotuit Bay.
